We put this together for folks who love to cook. During this two day workshop we will mill Cherry & Black Walnut lumber, glue-up panels, cut and reconfigure them into substantial end-grain chopping blocks suitable for your thanksgiving bird. The finished blocks will be quite stout, measuring in at approximately 2.5" thick. The smaller version will end up around 14" x 17" which is slightly larger than a 25# turkey. The larger version will be around 14" x 23", easily fitting a leg of lamb, a few onions and a bottle of beer. Your chopping block will be 100% food safe and finished with a renewable natural oil.
